What is it?The Linux Network Solution Kit is eventually going to be a complete networking solution. I want to eventually have it doing everything from bringing up network interfaces and setting up an iptables-based firewall to handling traffic-shaping, advanced routing, and IP tunneling via iproute2. It should work with both IPv4 and IPv6. LNSK is distributed under the GNU General Public License. Note: LNSK uses modules to do all of these things. Without any modules installed, LNSK is useless. What is the current state of LNSK?LNSK is currently in beta status. In other words, it has developed to a state that seems to work for everybody, but things might still change. The firewall4 module is currently the only available module. This module can be used for basic as well as complex packet filtering. It is also currently in beta status. |
